Often times, when searching for a kitchen faucet, we think about taking the traditional-only route. This means, walking into a hardware store, searching through what’s available and walking out with what was offered to you. However, with the onset of the Internet marketplace, you can find just about anything for your kitchen online.
What’s especially interesting is that there are now brands being sold both in stores and online that may be narrowed down to a specific audience and only sold in specific places to reduce overhead and lower prices for the customer. In particular, there are a couple of proprietary and online-only kitchen faucet brands out there that offer quality at a great price.
Pegasus Kitchen Faucet
The Pegasus kitchen faucet is a great proprietary brand (a company owned by a single person) and because it is can offer you great prices on your faucets. For instance, where you might be used to finding a bronze kitchen faucet in the $150 to $250 range, with Pegasus, the same gorgeous faucet might cost you $50 to $75.
The good news is that even the high-end faucets that might cost you around $500 to $700 with another brand might only cost you around $250 with Pegasus. There’s no doubt that quality is not sacrificed for price with these faucets, which is why you might consider a proprietary brand for your next faucet choice.
Fontaine Kitchen Faucet
The Fontaine kitchen faucet is another low-cost faucet, but for another reason. Unlike the Pegasus faucet, Fontaine is an online-only brand. Recently getting its start in 2002, the company has made a big splash in the faucet world. The brand is a proud member of the National Kitchen and Bath Association (NKBA) and is growing with popularity incredibly fast.
And there’s a good reason why. The faucets are not only affordable, but gorgeous. You could easily get your hands on a faucet with side spray for $100. The good news is that these faucets hit their high point at around $400, so you’re not going to have to spend too much to get the best.
As you can see, it’s never a bad idea to step outside the box and try something new. If that’s what you’ve been looking to do then why not see what a proprietary or online-only brand has to offer?
